The Reverend Christopher S. Esget, B.Mus., M.Div., S.T.M. 

Pastor Esget was installed as Immanuel's Pastor on June 24, 2001. Originally from Minnetonka, Minnesota, he attended the University of Minnesota, where he studied piano performance, before graduating from Berklee College of Music (1993) in Boston, Mass., with a major in Film Scoring. He received the Master of Divinity (1997) and Master of Sacred Theology (2005) degrees from Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was ordained to the office of the holy ministry in 1998 and installed as pastor of Bethel Lutheran Church, DuQuoin, Illinois. He enjoys music, reading, sports, tinkering with gadgets, and exploring Virginia and D.C. Rev. Esget has served as the Assistant Chaplain, Chaplain, and a presenter at conferences of the Lutheran youth organization Higher Things: Dare to Be Lutheran. He also served the organization as the conference Worship Coordinator in 2007-2008. He has been married to Kassie since 1996.
