The Reverend Charles L. McClean was called to serve at Immanuel in 2010. He assists Pastor Esget with preaching, liturgical, and visitation duties.

Pastor McClean is a native of Baltimore, MD. He attended Concordia Junior College (Bronxville, NY), and Concordia Senior College (Fort Wayne, IN), receiving the Bachelor of Arts degree in 1963. He received the Bachelor of Divinity degree from Concordia Seminary, Saint Louis, in 1967. He also received the Master of Sacred Theology degree.

He was ordained to the Holy Ministry in 1968 at Martini Lutheran Church (Baltimore, MD). As a Lutheran clergyman, he served: as Pastor of Christ Our Saviour Lutheran Church in East Quogue, NY; as assistant to the Reverend Doctor Norman Nagel, Dean of the Chapel of the Resurrection at Valparaiso University; as assistant pastor at Saint Paul's Lutheran Church, Addison, IL; as Pastor of Saint John's Lutheran Church, Springfield, PA.

From 1985-2008 he was a clergyman in the Episcopal Church, serving churches in Pennsylvania, Maryland and Massachusetts.

Out of deep conviction he returned to the Missouri Synod, being received back into membership in the Evangelical Lutheran Church here at Immanuel in October, 2008. In November, 2009 he was reinstated as a pastor in the LCMS.
