Membership

Baptism

Adults who have not been baptized are invited to go through catechesis (see below) to prepare for baptism. Children of members or regular attenders should be brought to the pastor as soon as possible for baptism. Please see the baptism page for more information.

Catechesis

If you are not a member of another Missouri Synod congregation, we invite you to go through a period of catechesis and discernment. At Immanuel, we call this Life in Christ, where you will meet with a pastor in a small group to study the Scriptures and Catechism, and have an opportunity to ask any question you like. Transfer

If you are a member of another Missouri Synod congregation and have moved to the Washington, D.C. area, we will help you transfer your membership to Immanuel. Please call the church office (703-549-0155) or email us.
